Hoka x Halfdays: The Winter Sneaker Collab You’ll Actually Want to Wear Everywhere

Just in time for cold-weather adventures, Hoka and Halfdays are teaming up to release a stylish, performance-driven sneaker that bridges ski-chalet chic with serious functionality. The collaboration reimagines Hoka’s Kaha 2 Frost Moc, giving it a fresh twist through Halfdays’ signature color story and outdoor-luxe sensibility.

A Color Palette Inspired by the Slopes

The partnership brings two limited-edition shades to the Kaha 2 Frost Moc lineup:

  • Oat Milk / Spiked Cocoa, a creamy neutral paired with a soft brown; and

  • Amethyst / Glazed Cherry, a bolder mix of violet and deep red.

These tones draw from Halfdays’ winter apparel collection, making the sneakers easy to style with the brand’s performance skiwear or your favorite puffer and leggings.

Form Meets Function

Designed for winter weather, the Kaha 2 Frost Moc combines insulation and durability with Hoka’s signature comfort. The shoe features:

  • A Gore-Tex waterproof membrane to keep moisture out,

  • A fleece-lined collar for warmth,

  • A toggle-lace closure that’s easy to adjust with gloves on, and

  • A Vibram outsole that provides traction on icy terrain.

It’s a hybrid that transitions seamlessly from a mountain trail to a cozy après-ski café—or even just snowy city sidewalks.

The Story Behind the Collaboration

Halfdays co-founder Kiley McKinnon, a former U.S. Ski Team athlete, says her long-standing admiration for Hoka made this collaboration feel natural. She explains that both brands value performance without compromising style: “We design for women who want to look good while being active—and Hoka has always embodied that same spirit.”

Hoka’s senior director of global collaborations Thomas Cykana adds that partnering with a women-led outdoor brand like Halfdays reinforces Hoka’s commitment to inclusivity and adventure.
