Q: Your professional journey began in filmmaking. What first attracted you to that world?
Yuki Kaneko: Storytelling has always fascinated me because it allows people to connect on a deeply human level. My early work in filmmaking taught me that stories can cross cultural and language barriers while creating understanding and empathy. I realized very quickly that film is much more than entertainment—it has the power to inspire conversations, bring people together, and encourage positive change. That belief became the foundation of everything I’ve pursued since.
Q: Appearing at the Cannes Film Festival was a significant milestone. What did that experience mean to you?
Yuki Kaneko: Cannes was an unforgettable experience and an important moment in my career. I had the opportunity to work on a film after being hired by the distribution company, and attending the festival allowed me to experience one of the world’s most prestigious film events firsthand. It reinforced my belief that creativity and storytelling can bring people together across cultures and reminded me that meaningful work in the film industry extends far beyond the screen.
Q: Your career has expanded beyond the entertainment industry into leadership roles in Japan and Hong Kong. How would you describe your leadership philosophy?
Yuki Kaneko: I believe leadership is about serving others rather than leading from authority alone. Trust, integrity, and collaboration are values that guide every decision I make. Whether working with nonprofit organizations or community initiatives, my goal is always to create environments where people feel respected, empowered, and inspired to contribute. I also believe that sustainable progress comes from transparency, responsibility, and genuine partnerships.
Q: Health and wellness have become important parts of your advocacy work. Why is this cause so meaningful to you?
Yuki Kaneko: Good health is the foundation for everything we hope to achieve in life. I am passionate about raising awareness of early detection for diseases such as cancer and dementia while supporting advances in brain health and overall well-being. I also encourage people to care for their mental and emotional health, not just their physical health. Success becomes much more meaningful when it is balanced with wellness, mindfulness, and compassion.
Q: You competed in Miss Asia USA International 2022–2023. What message did you hope to share through that platform?
Yuki Kaneko: For me, it was never about meeting traditional beauty standards. It was an opportunity to encourage women to embrace who they truly are. Confidence comes from authenticity, not perfection. I wanted to remind people that beauty is found in individuality, self-respect, and the courage to remain true to yourself. The experience gave me a platform to inspire others to celebrate their uniqueness while pursuing their dreams with confidence and determination.
Q: Fashion has become another important part of your career. How do you see its role in your life?
Yuki Kaneko: Fashion is another way of telling a story. Every runway appearance allows me to express confidence, resilience, and personal growth without saying a word. Clothing can communicate identity and emotion just as powerfully as film or performance. I enjoy using fashion as a creative platform that encourages people to celebrate their individuality with confidence and grace.
Q: Your work as an actress has also earned international recognition. How has acting influenced your creative journey?
Yuki Kaneko: Acting has allowed me to explore different perspectives and emotions while connecting with audiences in meaningful ways. Receiving the Best Supporting Actress award at the New York International Film Festival was a wonderful honor, but what means the most to me is the opportunity to tell stories that leave a lasting impact. I have also enjoyed participating in traditional Japanese cultural performances because they allow me to preserve and share my heritage with audiences around the world.
Q: Your international presence continues to grow, including upcoming appearances at New York Fashion Week. What motivates you as your career reaches new heights?
Yuki Kaneko: Recognition is encouraging, but it has never been my ultimate goal. My greatest motivation is using every opportunity to inspire positive change. Whether I am speaking about women’s empowerment, promoting mindfulness, encouraging cross-cultural understanding, or supporting personal growth, I hope people leave feeling inspired to believe in themselves and make a positive difference in their own communities.
Q: You have recently been selected as a finalist and ambassador for the Miss 5 Continents global pageant. What does this recognition mean to you, and what message do you hope to share through this international platform?
Yuki Kaneko: Being selected as a finalist and ambassador for the Miss 5 Continents global pageant is a tremendous honor and a responsibility that I deeply value. It represents an opportunity to connect with people from different cultures while promoting kindness, empowerment, and global understanding. I hope to use this platform to encourage others to believe in their potential, embrace their individuality, and contribute positively to society. For me, this recognition is not simply about a title—it is about using my voice to inspire confidence, compassion, and meaningful change on an international stage.
